EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Internship:
A parallel of corporate work assignments (within the food industry) in a business office supervised and coordinated by a faculty member. Periodic seminars and outside assignments related to the job are required.
Internship is a 3 month term to potential long-term hire. 10-15hrs./week.
Starting: open-ended
Objectives:
To gain work experience.
To provide a transition from the classroom to the office.
To learn to establish successful working relationships in the business world.
To develop the ability to start off right in a new position.
To apply classroom skills to a work environment.

Intern Duties/Responsibilities:
Application of your knowledge in a real-world environment.
Gaining an understanding of what it is like to work in a professional office.
Providance of increasingly challenging projects based on level of progression.
Work assignments will vary depending upon the level of experience, knowledge and sophistication of the intern.
Administrative Duties:
Answer phones, set up appointments, work on mailings and filing
Attend Staff meetings
Back Office Support
Data Entry
Report Preparation
Observe Client Meetings
Take notes for data entry
Observe interviewing techniques
Potential Special Projects (depending on the intern’s skills)
Develop Marketing Plan
Develop Office Procedural Manuals
Work on Web Site Design
Research/Evaluate Software
Intern to be involved in meeting with client, gathering data, entering data and developing recommendations
Prepare a one-page report outlining duties for the week stating what worked and what didn’t work suggestions for improvement.
Compensation:
