Last BUT NOT least!

I've been ultra busy working on a project very near and dear to my heart.
 
I recently wrote a children's book called "My Choice".  Actually, "My Choice" is my story that I share in the form of a children's book,

but it's written in Joseph's voice, my son. 

"My Choice is a book about empowering a child when the father is absent in their lives.  

I started an online fundraising project to raise funds to publish and distribute the book. 

I believe the positive message will resonate with many people. 

I think we all know someone who has had to deal with this issue.   
 
I just launched the project, so it's live now!

Our shipping department has re-opened ya'll!  We are back, we are back!  For your shopping convenience we have shipping calculators that you can utilize during the checkout process.  When you have finally decided which package you want to purchase, click on the "add to basket" button.  That will lead you to a checkout area where the shipping caluculator is offered.  Simply put in the area code to where the desserts are to be shipped and check the "view shipping inspector" box.  Lastly, click the "update" cart button and you will see the shipping calculations for FedEX, UPS, USPS and how much weight is being shipped, etc.

**June News**:

Now for your convenience, sign up for baking classes online using our new, easy appointment scheduling software.  Acuity Scheduling Software is so easy to navigate, it's a breeze.  We make it as simple as 1-2-3. Schedule what type of class you want in separate window and then when you're finished pay your registration fee through our "Baking Classes" webpage and you're done!

Now, learning how to bake the perfect pie...that's another story!

**January News**:

We will continue to operate our mail order department at CPKC until the end of February 2009.  At that point we will be closing our mail order department in order to focus on our burgeoning catering department.  We truly do love our customers on the East Coast, that is why we are working so diligently to secure retail accounts in those areas.

**All I can say is, “WOW!”**

Ever since we debuted our sweet potato cobbler in the beginning of November, we have been inundated with orders and gifts in the form of many “thank you's" and many smiling faces...we do aim to please!  However, we want to be able to accommodate everyone for Thanksgiving so if you want one of our desserts on your dinner table on Thanksgiving day the cut off day for all shipped orders is Monday, November 24th.  For all local deliveries, November 25th.

I would highly recommend one of our Take N’ Bake desserts for your Thanksgiving table!  ♥

**October News**:

NEW DESSERT ALERT!

In honor of the beautiful Autumn season, starting in November,  we will be adding Sweet Potato Pie to our increasing number of already super-fabulous desserts to our menu! It is truly special!  Our sweet potato pies are made with fresh jewel yams and a blend of natural sweet spices combined to create a blissful, silky and creamy filling along with a toffee pecan cookie crust!  It is amazing!

As the chief operating manager of Christine's Peachy Keen Cobblers, I always strive to find ways to give the best to our customers.  One of the things that I am always on the lookout for is the best ingredients.  If that ingredient is all natural or organic and enhance the flavor and overall taste of our desserts, I am all for it!  I don't believe in using preservatives or unnatural ingredients in our desserts FOR ANY REASON!  So in that regard, I wanted to let our family members know that starting in November, I will be using Kangen Alkaline Water™ in all of our desserts that call for water

What Is Kangen Water?

Kangen Water is a trademarked name for the best alkaline ionized water in the world, which is a healthier form of water, with significant and beneficial anti-oxidant properties. Creating Kangen Water starts with a thorough filtration of impurities and then an electrolysis process which separates ordinary water (H20) into two completely separate entities.  One half of the separated water are the positive acidic molecules, while the other half are the negative alkaline molecules.

The word "Kangen" is Japanese for "Return to Origin," which helps to explain the philosophy behind the alkaline ionized water as it pertains to your body and your health.  The human body needs to maintain balance between acidic and alkaline properties to properly process foods, make repairs, and generally remain in proper balance.  Ingesting too many acidic foods and beverages, most notably carbonated soft drinks, can lower the body's natural pH levels to dangerously acidic levels, which can be a breeding ground for dis-ease.  By consuming the alkaline ionized Kangen Water, a person may restore his or her body's proper pH balance and perhaps even become more alkaline, which would be great for anyone's health.
